ARCH NEMESIS Part Ways With Guitarist, Continue Work On New Album
January 13, 2004Norwegian metallers ARCH NEMESIS have parted ways with lead guitarist Inge "Thorin" Eidsaeter halfway through the recording sessions for the band's sophomore album, tentatively due later in the year through Edgerunner Records.
Eidsaeter's departure is being attributed to "personal interests," according to a posting on the band's web site. "There was just not enough time for his personal interests aside with ARCH NEMESIS. We have yet to decide what we will do with this in the future. For the album [vocalist/guitarist] Nesmoht [a.k.a. Niclas Thomsen] will do the guitar solos."
The recording of the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2002's "Shadows In The Mirror" is expected to be completed by early February. No further details are available at this time.
